How to shop till you drop in Alcudia and Mallorca - Club Mac

At Club MAC Alcudia we have our own on-site shop, which is packed with holiday essentials. From nappies to suncream, floats to swimsuits, you can get anything you need. But, while you’re in Alcudia, we think you should also check out the local markets and other shopping opportunities in Mallorca.

We have various market stalls around the lake in the evening, where you can find souvenirs, custom art and even crepes. If you want to venture further afield, there are plenty of shopping options.

Alcudia Old Town market

The market in Alcudia Old Town is a must-visit while you’re staying at Club MAC. You’ll find it in the nearby historic town, which is accessible by walking (about 20 minutes), or you can take our shuttle bus. Check the times just outside our main entrance.

It’s on twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays from 8am to 1pm, and is widely regarded as the most important market in Mallorca. You’ll experience a great atmosphere as you mingle with other tourists and locals. A wide variety of stalls are available, stocking everything from fruit and veg to clothes, souvenirs, jewellery, traditional Mallorcan products. It spreads throughout the Old Town just inside the walls and runs near to the Roman City of Pollentia.

When the market is on, there is a bus service that links with the centre of Alcudia. It runs every 15 minutes, but you can also take a taxi or even a horse and carriage if you fancy travelling in more style!

Puerto Alcudia market

During high season, a smaller market can be found every Friday morning at Port d’Acludia. Opening hours at between 8.30am and 1.30pm, and you may find some of the same traders operating. There are loads of goods available to browse or to buy, and don’t be afraid to haggle!

Inca market

If you fancy going even further afield, one of the biggest weekly markets on the island can be found in Inca every Thursday morning. Inca is approximately 14 miles from Alcudia on the main road to Palma. It’s worth a visit to see the town come alive with countless stalls selling everything from handmade soap to leather goods and flowers.

Inca is famous for its leather, so there are lots of products to browse, including jackets, bags and shoes. There are hundreds of stalls to explore and you can definitely spend many hours enjoying the spectacle.

Shopping in Palma

Palma is Mallorca’s most cosmopolitan city and is a capital well worth visiting, particularly if you are in the mood to shop. Crammed with narrow streets ideal for wandering around, you can browse local shops and find beautiful Mallorcan crafted products, as well as lots of designer gear.

The shops are open on Sundays and public holidays during the season (May to October), and a must-visit is Paseo del Borne. This has become one of the most important shopping areas in the city and boasts shops including Rialto Living, Hugo Boss, Mulberry, Carolina Herrera and Louis Vuitton. There are plenty of beautiful stores on other streets too, including Jaime III, which is home to Cartier and Lottusse among others.

And the best thing about shopping in Alcudia and surrounding areas is that you can come back to Club MAC and relax afterwards!
